Notes on the Stationery Show 2009

Here are some visual notes on the NYC Stationery Show, that ended a week ago. I came back home with the Wall Display Kit by lovely Diva of Linea Carta and I hang on top of my desk some of my favorite business cards from the show. What a brilliant and simple idea for displaying some beautiful paper designs!

A great, comprehensive coverage of the show was done by Nole on her blog and I leave to others much of the presentations that each booth needed. So much beautiful work on paper, it was amazing!
This year I mostly enjoying meeting people at our booth, I have done very little walking around the show, but treasured every single encounters and conversation.
And.... I was happy to finally meet Lotta Jandotter! After working long distance with her in 2005 on the calendarbook, I was waiting for the opportunity to meeting Lotta in person for years. Also It was a pleasure meeting Alyson Kuhn, the writer behind Felt and Wire, someone that again I wanted to meet for a long time. She did a beautiful coverage on a few press kits from the show and I was lucky enough for the attention given to my glassine package. And how lovely is this post by Natsumi?
Below some shots of New York city, details of beautiful booths near by and brief notes on the ICFF I really enjoyed visiting one afternoon. Thank you everyone for stopping by, it was great meeting you all!

Detail of ribbons in our booth #1934 I shared with Shelley and her wonderful baby, Dee and Lala, Linea Carta

New from the NYC Stationery Show

It will take me a little bit longer this year to organize my photos and notes from the past NSS, but just quickly I would like to post some pictures of the newest line of greeting cards, just launched at the show. Abc Line Cards, letterpress printed on 100% cotton paper, with an application of Alphabet Brocaded Ribbon, from my collection. Available now in the shop.
Wedding invitation design with the monogram ribbon is also a possibility, any inquiry are welcome!

National Stationery Show 2009

So here we are, seriously getting ready for the NYC Stationery Show, which starts next Sunday, May 17th until May 20th, at the Javits Convention Center. I will happily share the booth with my friend Shelley of Albertine Press, and once again we will display letterpress greeting cards along with colorful Italian cotton ribbons. Something new, I will launch a line of greeting cards, completely hot from the press, the Numeral brocaded ribbons and our Francobolli Books, which have never been officially presented at any trade show before. Pretty exciting, but it's an incredibly busy time, until we will be there to just enjoy the show! Come to visit, booth no. 1934, I look forward to meeting you all!

Moontree Letterpress cards

I have great admiration for Moontree Letterpress printing and designs and this small line of business cards for etsy sellers seems such a simple, beautiful idea! Love the pink button too!

Our Sunday Spring Show

Our show have past and left us happy about spending a day together, with old and new friends at Jill's lovely home. It was so intimate, calming and exciting at the same time. I hope the few pictures below can give a sense of the overall atmosphere of our Paper and Fabric. Every elements of the house carefully reflects her sensibility and aesthetic, no wonder Jill parents are both artists!
Right in the end of the day, Michelle Willey from South End, came to visit and left with two bags full of our products to carry in her shop. It was a good way to end our spring sale! and my treat of the day, was this hand-made scarf I've happily been wearing since then.
More news to come for the upcoming Stationery Show, which is just around the corner...

Love the Numeral Ribbon application by Bookhou. As I always admire their work!
Soon, I should also be ready to announce our attendance to the National Stationery Show, booth 1934, just coming in a few weeks. But one step at the time, before I still have the trunk show with Jill tomorrow!
