Holidays 2010

It has been an amazing 2010, intensive, exciting, exhausting and I felt as I was running the all time without taking a break that lasted longer than two days. But I'm also so happy for all what it has been accomplished, for the great support and inspiration I felt all through my working days. Thank you all for being close to me!
I will return from Rome on January 10th and the shop will be closed until then. Warm wishes to all of you and buon anno nuovo!

Cotton Ribbon applications, part 3

Today is one of the last day at the studio, before our trip to Rome and finally a break for the holidays. Though, I went through my folder of Cotton Ribbons applications, collected over the year and found some new images I would like to share. If you are interested in seeing more ideas on how the ribbons can be used, please follow this link. You will find flowers arrangements, calendars, packaging, book making and more... Love to see them all together and thank you for sending these projects along!

Last pair of scissors

....and one of the last project for 2010 are these new business cards. Designed just in time a few days before the opening, I had to include a pair of scissors into the design. I guess it is the beginning of a new collection. The one I used a lot in the last invitations are only 5,5 cm long. and love them!
A quick note on the online shop. I will ship orders until December 23rd and each parcel will include a Vintage Stamps Set, no matter the amount of your order. The shop will then be closed until January 10th!
but more to come next week..... happy weekend!

The show at Michelle Willey

Jill and I had another lovely time at Paper and Fabric over the weekend. Thank you everyone that came to visit and share part of their afternoon with us. It always feels warm and interesting to be in a wonderful store, surrounded by beautiful interiors and design products and meet new people from South End. And it always helps to start the day at Flour, despite the rain on Sunday afternoon!

Venezia questa mattina

This morning I need to sort through all the photos from the weekend show and organize my studio again. But I received these amazing photos of Venezia, from my brother, that was there just this morning. How blue the sky can ever be?

Paper and Fabric 2010

As last year, If you are in Boston, come to visit us at Paper and Fabric held at Michelle Willey in South End.
Saturday, December 11th from 11 to 6
Sunday, December 12th from 12 to 5.
It is just around the corner from the Sowa Market and from a great cafe` I always like to go to. I think it all worth the trip!

Susy's show

Back to my studio, tired, but with my mind full of inspirations from last night at Susy's Studio Sale. As always is one of my favorite show and great company...... instead of pictures of the show, I included some photos of the process behind Susy's new silkscreen trays, that were the hit of the night. They are completely hand-made, silk screened on wood, polished and varnished. Definally on my wish list and available soon at her shop.

The opening day

The studio opening it felt a bit as my wedding day! So many people and friends came to visit, flowers, presents and cheers. It was beautiful. Thank you everyone for sharing such a special day with me and thank you to Susy and Jill for being here. It meant so much! The following pictures are both from before and during the opening. Tables moved around for the trunk show. Little details from both days, the glass shelfs, new price tags, my working desks, friends and my husband made espresso for everyone...... so happy!

It's never too late

Valerie of Pikku and I started with a meeting this summer to think about a collaboration of her patterns printed on cotton ribbons and the way we could use them and turn them into product. We had no idea it will actually take months from the first sketch to the final printing, until the rolls of ribbons were done! The printed rolls finally were delivered last week! Maybe this is the last collaboration for 2010, but I thought it was never too late to take some photos of the final product and have the packages ready for the studio opening tomorrow. So, here they are and available in the shop too!
