Book Arts in a class

This morning I brought some hand-made books to show in my son's class and thought to show some samples here from my small collection. I should really pull these books more often! The children were so enthusiastic and tried an accordion fold right away. I'm sure more ideas will come from their class, as they will work on the lotus folds for their event invitations. Thank you second graders for having me and being an inspiration for the day!

hi Angela,
I read your blog often and I am fairly new to bookbinding, so your posts on the subjects are favorites of mine. While perusing your blog archives, i found this post and I was wondering if you could tell me the name or style of book featured in your last photograph of this post (the red one)? It is quite fascinating and the structure looks ripe for a recipe card keeper i hope to make for my mom. Any help with a tutorial (by you or someone else) would be much appreciated! Thank you for your time :)
