The Research Institute of Paper History & Technology

When I first moved to Boston five years ago, one of the first place I wanted to visit was the Research Institute of Paper History & Technology, founded by Elaine Koretsky, stored in a 100 years old carriage house. And I was not disappointed. In a small and charming space, there is a lot to see and I used to hear about it when working at MCBA, long ago. When papermaker Helen Hiebert came to visit, it was a great opportunity to get to the carriage house again. Even if only for the Museum being on a tiny street in Brookline, the architecture, the interior and garden, are worth the visit. And spend some time with Helen afterwords, brought me back in time when my hands were always wet by making paper...
