While searching for vintage stamps, I came across the most amazing stamp treasure I could find. An entire bag full of little packages of stamps, wrapped together with thread from the original collector. I felt a little as Amelie in the movie, when she found the old, tin box of treasures hidden in her bathroom wall! Most of the stamps are American, from the late eighteen hundred and beginning of the nineteenth, still attached to the original mailing. But what I find fascinating, is the work behind all of these tiny packages assembled together. Found at the same time, are other stacks of vintage stamps, from the same country, collected and wrapped in the same way. I can't stop photographing them and keeping them on my desk for inspiration. Quantity are very limited, but I wanted to share some with you, if interested and they are now available in my shop. Please let me know what you think and if you find them interesting as much as I do!

They are absolutely lovely! I particularly love the 6 bundles of international stamps. The care that went into bundling and wrapping each stack with twine is so charming.
I find them so charming too and I still can't believe the work behind it.
