Sometimes things all happen at the same time! While preparing for the Martha Stewart event starting in only a few days, a copy of Living landed on my desk, after months of waiting to share this news. I'm honored and excited to see the studio featured on MSL and I revisited some of the back stage photos from that long day of work with photographer Michael Piazza, back in June. It was really a lot of fun! Now that I can read the article, it makes me happy to recognize a small tribute to my mother, a seamstress, that weaned me "...on the beautiful, the tactile, and the tailored'. And I'm so grateful for all I learned from her! If you are interested in a simple tutorial on how to bind a pamphlet stitch book, there is a full page with each step of the process and a list of materials and suppliers.
If you are looking for more information on the American Made event in NYC, on October 17th and 18th at Grand Central Station, here is the full list of other vendors at Our Finds: Chez Sucre Chez, Cynthia Treen, Enormous Champion, Foxy & Winston, Gleena, Hosanna Hauser, Jane D'Arensbourg, Jodi Levine, Knot & Bow, Mary MacGill, Mystic Knotwork, PELLE, Red Ink Bird, Silke Stoddard, Stephen Johnson and Vintage by Crystal, and plenty of craft demonstrations, open to the public, throughout the two days. I really look forward to this trip, to sampling some treats at the cafe`, to meet personally some of the editors behind the magazine, the honorees and some of you if you are be able to come! I hope to see you soon!
