During our last trip to Rome, I was be able to locate a good source for the Tailor's Measuring Tape. I remember my mother wearing it all day, on her shoulders, when I was little. A strong memory from childhood that I wanted to bring to the shop and into our studio. It has been made in the same way since I could remember, same material, same yellow and white coated canvas, same type. I'm always amazed how even little things like this one, remain unchanged in Italy! So here they are, Metro per Sarti available in the shop, as a small tribute to my mother. Imported from Italy and packaged by hand in our studio. You might recognize the printed circle of heavy stock paper from the Calendarbook 2013, where the measuring tape is mounted on. It was indeed designed, printed and dye cut at the same time as our calendars, but it gathers information of our shop and studio, as a product signature. Let me know what you think by the morning of February 18th, winner will be announced the same day, or come to see it in person during our Open Studio rescheduled for this Saturday, February 16th, from 11 to 4. After the snow storm, we are happy to be open and share a cup of espresso with you! Also on Sunday, February 17th, we will be in Cambridge at Gather Here shop, for a trunk show celebrating their second birthday! It will be a busy weekend and we hope to be luckier with the weather this time!

Lovely as always.
Love the look of the tapes especially the little arrows!
What a lovely giveaway, Angela! I wish I could make your studio event but alas, have to work this weekend. I'm sure it will be fabulous!
So cute and useful! As an artist I'm constantly searching for rulers to measure... a measuring tape would definitely come in-handy!

I love the design of your packaging for the tape measure...what a lovely idea for the circular label to echo the shape of the tape measure when it's coiled up. Simple but special!
